What's the strangest thing a guest has done in your house?

Slept on our roof.

I have posted this before so I'm sorry if you have seen it, but it was such a bizarre moment and I haven't gotten over it yet.

It's pretty common for my son to go out riding bikes with a few friends and come home with a close to a dozen. He'll often shoot me a text making sure it's okay to invite some people over for dinner or he'll let me know that other kids will be coming home with us from practice. If it's a new kid that wants to sleepover I will check with the parents to clear it but that's usually the extent of my involvement.

He had a sleepover last summer and when the boys woke up and were making breakfast before they realized Joshua was missing. They all knew Joshua from school and he had been over our house a couple times before to swim and he went paintballing with the group once, but this was his first time sleeping over. No one knew where he was. They all said that he was upstairs with them last night but no one remembered seeing him go to sleep. We have plenty of comfortable places to sleep around the house (guest rooms, couches, beanbags, son's bed, pull out beds) so it's not like there was a lack of space. The kids were 12 then so I figured he might have just biked home and I texted his mom. She said he wasn't home and told us to check the roof. I thought that was weird but we went outside and, sure enough, Joshua was asleep on the roof. He has isomnia and apparently goes outside to stargaze sometimes when he can't fall asleep. He sometimes accidentally falls asleep on the roof. That would have been nice to know before hand. He still comes over sometimes but he hasn't fallen asleep on the roof since last year. I told him to lay on the trampoline if he is in the mood to stargaze and when they camp out in our backyard I do wake up in the middle of the night to make sure no one is on the roof.
