What's THAT thing that you once said or did, that you still cringe at to this day?

Twenty years ago my family and I were eating at the state fair and there were these guys sitting at the table behind us. One of them kept bumping the back of my chair really hard and my husband decided to defend my honor by standing up, kicking the back of the guy's chair and yelling, "What in the hell is wrong with you?" to a bunch of young men from a disabilities group home.

When they were building a new shopping center near us, the signs out front said "BJs Now Open" and underneath that, "Dick's Coming Soon!". There was never an opportunity to comment or laugh at it with the kid in the car so it went unmentioned for the longest time. A few years later we were going somewhere on the north side of town and my daughter said, "People who live here are so lucky. They have the biggest Dick's in the world!" And it was like 3...2...1 until I could laugh because she was still so thankfully naive as a young teen that I didn't know if she'd catch what she said.

More recently, we were at one of my husband's family functions and a couple of them always thought I was sorry for being a stay at home mom. Someone asked the hosts their wifi password and my husband yells "odeuniceboisafreeloader, no spaces". Cue crickets. He plays it off by saying none of them watch the show he quoted but it gave me a freaking epiphany.
