What's a time you "felt something was off" and were right about it?

I was 19, taking a Greyhound at 4am from a small town about 3 hours away from Atlanta to the ATL airport to head back to college after break. My mother drove me to the bus stop, and we noticed a guy looking a little shady, meandering around, watching us. Not out of the ordinary right, it is a Greyhound stop.

I was in pretty good shape at the time, had spent time in developing countries in semi-dangerous areas on some travel before, but this guy made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Told my mom to drive away, just said it in a matter of fact tone "mom, back up right now and leave. I'll get Chad [my brother] to drive me to the airport". As we were driving away my mom said she also had a bad feeling when she looked at him.

Turns out the guy had broken into a home across town that night and shot one of the occupants who confronted him, killing the occupant. He was arrested later that day, all over the news; my mom called me she saw and I had to call the police department (back in college town at this point) and give a recounting that I saw who I was sure was this guy at the bus stop at 4am etc.

Glad I went with my instincts on that one.
