What's up with people debating 2+2= 5 on Twitter?

From your list, the highest impact factor I can find for a place that actually published a paper is 1.554 (Gender, Place, & Culture). From your list, the only other ones that actually published a paper were Sexuality and Culture (0.92 IF) and Fat Studies (unranked as far as I can find).

If you want to argue that GPC is a good journal, I'll agree with you because it is. But, if you want to claim it's one of the most cited and influential in the field? I'm sorry, you're wrong.

It has about a quarter of the impact factor of the top geography journals and it's not like that's a particularly influential field to begin with (by impact factor).

Submitting to Gender and Society (3.11) and getting rejected doesn't prove shit. You can submit whatever you want, that's how these things work.
