What's up with the sudden ousting of asexuals from LGBT communities?

It's the latest Tumblr esque discourse topic.

For me, I really struggle with anything that isn't lights off missionary position being called LGBT. Asexuality, Kink, and Polyamory each have advocates that want peoole who experience those lifestyles to be considered LGBT. I'm on mobile but I could easily find thinkpieces on these topics if requested.

The latest inclusionists push for aroace individuals suggests that a straight guy who is aromantic (meaning he'll fuck girls but claims he can't feel romantic attraction so no skin off his back if someone gets attached) suddenly becomes LGBT and is entitled to the sparse amenities exclusively for LGBT individuals (the occasional scholarship, leadership in groups like GSA in highschool).

Strawman? Maybe a little but I have seen an aro straight guy claim to be LGBT. It's obnoxious and take a huge amount of cognitive dissonance for me to swallow. If you're a het ace (meaning you feel romantic attraction to only the opposite gender but no sexual attraction) you aren't LGBT.

Asexual individuals are absolutely valid and whatever, but that doesn't make them LGBT. I sincerely don't know any exclusionist who openly hates aro/ace people and wants them to suffer, just don't call yourselves gay or queer or LGBT. The A originally stood for Ally, which was actually code for closeted individuals.
