I was the assistant manager, she was a part time sales associate. I took my job very seriously and was proud of my work, I was an associate that was promoted within so I understood what it felt like to be a part time sales associate, so I tried to make the work load on each of us as equal as possible. She wouldn’t listen to a word I said, she wouldnt do what I asked her to do, she felt that she was a above sweeping or any cleaning or organizing so she just wouldn’t do it. (It’s retail so those are pretty frequent tasks) She violated the dress code all the time, and felt that she was above all the rules. When she first got hired she INSISTED that my manager give her my job because she had a daughter and needed a full time position (mine was the only ft position other than the store manager). How she got hired after saying that, I’ll never know.

And when I got pregnant she insisted I quit so she could take over my position, and when I laughed and refused she said “I’m not the one who got you knocked up, so I shouldn’t have to deal with you”.

She was horrible to work with or be around. Shortly after that they were going to fire her, and our boss gave her the opportunity to quit before they fired her so she did.
