What's the worst customer service you've ever received?

I am pasting the review I wrote on that website Wendy's earlier tonight since it's still in the clipboard on my phone:

"1. I pulled up to the drive-through menu at around 9pm and waited for 2-3 minutes while saying "Hello?" and "Are you still open?" but got no response whatsoever. So I went in and ordered a large Spicy Asiago Club combo.

  1. The entire reason I went to Wendy's that day was because I got a coupon for a free cookie with the purchase of any combo meal. At the counter, there were only sugar cookies which is not what I wanted but I was completely fine with trying one. The cashier told me that they were about to close and that's why they didn't have any other cookies. But she also said that the sugar cookies are the best ones and that she would give me 2 since they didn't have the one I wanted. I told her "Thank you".

  2. Here's the main grievance I had with this visit: After ordering, I saw a sign for a chicken sandwich that had guacamole and I said out loud "Aw man, I should've ordered that one". I wasn't expecting to be able to change the order or anything but the cashier asked "Would you like that one instead? I haven't completed the transaction yet so it's not too late". I said "Yes, thank you". She then called to the back for them to change the sandwich. I heard some grumblings coming from the back but I thought nothing of it until the cashier laughed and said "Oh be nice" and the elderly lady next to her said "Don't be racial. Be polite." which led me to believe that she had used a racial slur against me (while I was within earshot) simply for ordering the sandwich with guacamole.

  3. The elderly lady brought out my food and asked if I wanted to eat there or take it to-go. I said I'd take it to go and she seemed to challenge me on that. Her: "You don't have to go". Me: "To-go is fine". Her: "If you want to eat here, you can". (I believe that she knew I was offended by the racial slur and thought that I was leaving out of spite. In all honesty, I was planning on taking it to-go from the beginning which is why I tried to go to the drive-through first.) Me: "Do you have any sauces? I know there's one y'all have that I can't get anywhere else". (I was thinking of Sausome Sauce. Sorry if that is misspelled). Her: "We have sauces for people who get nuggets." Me: "So I'm not allowed to have one?" Her: "You didn't ask!" (Then she handed me a sauce.) Me: "Thank you. That's the sauce I was thinking about." She then waited until I was halfway out the door and said in a sarcastic way "Glad we could provide that service for you" (or something along those lines)

  4. I get home and there are no cookies in the bag. The entire reason I went there was pointless.

I'm generally not one to complain about fast food transactions. But I have never been so explicitly made to feel unwelcome at a restaurant. I kept biting my tongue over the drive-through issue, the cookie issue, the racism issue, the older lady's angry attitude, etc. But when I got home and didn't even have the cookies I came there for I just couldn't believe it. I paid $9.68 for a meal I could have gotten at Cook-Out for $4.99 just to try Wendy's cookies for the first time.

The cashier was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. The older lady had a serious attitude problem (If you could see a video of the conversation, you would see how aggressive she was being even though she didn't technically say anything wrong. She definitely wanted me to regret visiting that location that night). But the third lady who used the racial slur made the entire visit surreal.

All I want is my coupon back so I can use it at a different location."
