What's the worst experience you've had with a teacher?

I'll share mine.

In my freshman year of high school, I took French. Entering the class on the first day, I didn't know what was in store for me for the following months. Cutting to the chase, the teacher was really insane. She was not of French descent, more like one half Greek, one eighth English, one eighth something else, and so on. Now, I'm not saying a teacher has to be of French descent to teach French class, but this teacher didn't have a single French flag in the room. Rather, she had a huge Greek flag posted above her desk. She's never even been to Greece, but always prided herself on being "Greek".

Now I wasn't too fazed by this in particular, but like I said, she was insane. She insisted that the French "culture" was more important about the language itself, and most of our classes were "discussions" where she would ramble on about something she dug up on the internet, which only slightly related to French culture. Once, we had a whole day where we just talked about death. Just death. And we had to take 2 page notes on this. The most we learned in a month were 5 French cuss words.

What really crossed the line, however, was when we were picking new seats. Since my school is very diverse, she'd tell us that, since "people of the same race tend to hang out together, there may not be more than 2 people of the same race at a table" (her words).

There was this one gay kid in class who had a hickey on his neck, which was barely visible. When he entered the class, she yelled "Is that a hickey??" and proceeded to laugh at him and mock his sexuality in front of the whole class...

Anyway, she got fired, thankfully. I was truly afraid of speaking up in her class, and I'm usually an outgoing person.
