What's the worst handshake you've ever personally received and what made it so bad?

Meeting a friends missus at a brewery and she was being along some of her friends as well. They arrive and it’s her with 3 girlfriends and one guy.

Standing around this table are myself and four mates, we’ve known each other since high school so I wanted to make the new group feel welcome. The girls are ahead of the guy who at this point is on his phone as they’re walking over to us

So I shimmy around the table to give them space and greet all the girls who, after saying hello, immediately cut themselves off from our group and start their own circle on the other side of the table. Cool.

The guy puts his phone away so I reach across with my hand and say “hey man, my names hux, how you doing?”

He reaches back across, elbows locked, raises his right shoulder so he can elevate his arm, puts his hand on mine (without gripping at all) looks down to the left half closed his eyes and says “James”. The removes his hand. He then does this for each of my friends. After which he literally turns his back to us and pulls out his phone again.

It was actually kind of funny to see each face of disgust from my friends as each of has had this ungodly experience. Needless to say, the circles stayed closed off from one another and about an hour later my mates and I went to another bar.

The Missus is lovely however, total sweetheart and get along with her even now, her friends at the time however. Blergh.
