My high school boyfriend thought it would be a great idea to ask me to prom by putting a bouquet of roses under my bed, a note with “Prom?”, and an old cell phone to wake me up in the middle of the night, as a surprise.

The cell phone was supposed to alarm at 12:00am to wake me up and surprise me so I saw the note and flowers.

Problem was that the cell phone wasn’t that old. When I woke up I was really tired and I didn’t see the note or flowers. I was really confused and started looking through the text messages to see who the phone belonged to. Just so happens that my boyfriend, at the time, had been texting his ex the past 6 months... we had been dating for 2 years.

I called him immediately and broke things off. I found out about the flowers and note a couple days later.
