Eminem is overrated. I like some of his songs and he did help influence the rap game in an impactful way. However, while he is good at writing lyrics, he isn’t good as he thinks he is. As a song writer myself, cuss words are easy filler words that many people fall into when they can’t think of a rhyme. I don’t mind swear words if it’s not saying anything I think is inappropriate when you look under the subtext of the meaning, but I think it takes more better lyric writing not to cuss. Cussing is emotive and can be powerful if used for emphasis, but too many swear words becomes stale and boring IMO. Even though Eminem is better at rap speed than most speed than most people, I like NF better as an artist overall. NF was influenced by Eminem. Also, while I think lyrical rap is better than mumble rap, for the most part, I’d say many of the lyrical rappers diss mumble rappers for talking about girls yet they talk about them too. Juice Wrld is a good artist. I don’t like all his songs, but I like many of them. I like how he brought up negative drug symptoms and he wrote love songs to his different girlfriends. I like how he broke the mold in many ways. I am not a big fan of songs with pologamy and cheating. It’s just not to my personal taste. I prefer songs about love and commitment. I’m just weird that way lol.
