This happened on the day of the Superbowl 2018

My friend was having a Superbowl party. Three of us were there several hours early to start making food. We were short on some ingredients so the three of us head to the store together. At the store we witness two guys getting into a shouting match. I wasn't entirely sure what it was about but after things deescalated one of my friends jokingly says "boys will be boys" and then the other friend says "people will be people". It immediately made me think of the song "people are people" by Depeche Mode. It's a song I rarely ever listen to but back in high school many years ago I had a Depeche mode "phase" so I knew it, and it got stuck in my head after hearing my friend say that.

So we leave and during the party I've got the song stuck in my head. After it's over I get in my car to leave. My car has a stereo system where you can program channels to the numbered buttons. So I start the car and the station that's on is just advertising. So I randomly hit one of the numbered buttons for a new station and......it's playing people are people by Depeche Mode. If this were a more recent popular song I wouldn't have thought anything of it. But it was a much older song and one that I've probably never even heard on the radio before. It gave me a weird feeling. Crazy coincidence!
