What's your favorite MMORPG to play, on computer or console, of all time?

If there's one MMO I keep coming back to over and over again, it's got to be Runescape.

...Now, hear me out. I understand RS has that stupid thing about having to grind to all the levels required to do the shallow quest pool. I also understand how unfriendly it is to free-to-play players, despite it claiming to be free-to-play. Finally, I understand that a good 70% of the free-to-play fanbase is terrible, and so is ~30% of the p2p fanbase.

The fact is, there are things that you can do in that game. Maybe not readily available in F2P, but in P2P, if there's a game mode you want to try, Jagex has put it there. The quest list may be small, but each and every quest plays out differently to the ones before and after it, especially with the newer quests that have been coming out as of late. Dishonor Among Thieves, a Zamorak-themed quest, is completely centered around Zamorak, while essentially wanting to reclaim an artifact that was pilfered from him by Sliske, the current 'bad guy' of this age, is shown to have... not evil intentions, as he's made out to be. Hell, you even get to see the struggles of some of the Black Knights, an order devoted to evildoing, confused at being told that what they believe in was just spun around by their enemy god, Saradomin. (P.S. For those wondering if I'm spoiling anything: I'm not. This happens within the first act of the quest, and one of the very first things you do is to help one of Zamorak's most devoted followers quell his Black Knights over a shift in belief).

Is it good? Eh. Is it bad? I've seen a LOT worse. The nice thing is that there isn't a single quest that is a repeat of the "fetch twenty bear asses" trope, if only I could say the same about how you get to those quests or even how unhelpful a lot of the other players can be. (You will, undoubtedly, find at least 1 person sitting around on a server asking for 1-50M handouts. That is, to say, half of one of the top-tier equipment)
