What's your internet "white whale", something you've been searching for years to find with no luck?

When I was 11 years old my parents did a home exchange with a family from France where we basically swapped houses with a random family and went to live in the french countryside for a month. It was an extremely small town, and my parents often referred to it as a "hamlet". The houses were really old, tuscan-looking type stone farmhouses. Other details I remember are there were a fair number of english speaking neighbours from England, and at one point during the summer the town had a giant festival where long tables with white tablecloths were all lined up in the town centre and everyone came together for a big feast. Anyways, during my time there I became quite good friends with two neighbouring 7 year old girls who were both adopted from vietnam, but their mother was english and their father german. Also at the time I knew them, they had a new baby brother who was around 2 years old who their parents had only recently adopted from Africa. Because of their parents, these girls spoke English as well as German and French. I played with them basically every single day, and my parents became friends with their parents too. Eventually though, we left and came back to Canada, and I never saw them again. I remember that our parents swapped emails, but somehow in the course of time it has been lost. It's been over 10 years now, but I'd really love to contact this family again for old times sake. Their daughters would be around 19 now, their son 14. However the problem is, my parents weirdly have absolutely no idea where in France we were. They know the town was called "Villefranche" but as you can tell from a quick google search, there is tons of Villefranche's in France and despite intensive googling, I haven't been able to pinpoint anything that seems familiar. It seems like I'm just going to die wondering
