What's your nightmare-at-the-range story?

Oh my. Former RSO at an indoor range here. Far too many stories to share... but I had to go into Drill Instructor mode (angry yelly R. Lee Ermey style) when a guy kept trying to touch his expensive M1A during a cease fire. We had guys down range repairing something, and he still didn't care.

Then there was the grandfather who was loading his lever action while muzzling his grandsons head. Sigh.

Turns out I quit at the right time - we had a dude commit suicide on the range less than a month after I left. Definitely not a job I would recommend.

This is also why I really really dislike public ranges, and prefer to shoot out in the sticks with folks I trust.
