What's your "I have no idea how I got away with that, but I won't question it," story?

Sitting at a red light on my motorcycle. Looked to each side and in front and behind me. All clear. Leaned into my handle bars and as the light turns green I proceed to mash thru four gears as fast as I can possibly get the bike to go. Hit about 110 km/hr (70 mph) in a 50 km/hr (30 mph) zone. In front of a school no less.

Didn't see the two cops in the car come around the corner behind me just as I cranked her. Red lights and siren. I pull into the street where I was headed to and into my buddies driveway with the guys hanging out in front of the house and the cops right behind me with lights and siren going.

I only have my beginners license.

I get in the back of the cop car. Cop in the passenger side asks me if I knew how fast I was going. I say "I don't know maybe around 50-60..... kilometers per hour.". As I was saying "50-60" he had a bit of a smug look on his face, but when I said "kilometers per hour" instead of miles per hour, he loses it and starts yelling loudly at me for about a full minute.

He stops, pauses to compose himself, and says "We didn't have the radar on..... we were doing 80 kilometers an hour ... and we were NOT CATCHING UP." Ended up being only able to give me a ticket for 80 kph in a 50 zone and let me go. Didn't notice that I was driving on a beginners permit.

It could've and should've been 110 in a 50 and on a beginners license. I should have lost my license and paid a huge fine and had like 4 or 6 points on my license. Instead I got a minor fine and a couple of points on my license.

Had a great summer driving my bike around in a more responsible manner after that.
