What's your opinion on creating a universal language for everyone on the planet to communicate better?

Its a terrible language for scientific and technological purposes. Its also extremely difficult to master unless you grew up with it. Even westerners who lived in China for 15 years can still struggle to read a newspaper. Also too many obscure characters, you have to memorize hundreds or thousands of them for even a basic level understanding. You also can't fully understand it unless you understand the nuances of Chinese culture and history. Additionally its a tonal language which makes it less expressive than non tonal languages like English where any sentence could be spoken with a variety of tones. English is the best, most expressive and information-dense language in the world.
