What's your passion, and are you actively pursuing it? If not, why not? When will you?

Making video games. I officially started my indie company this year, and I've made a couple of apps over the last few years, but nothing really substantial. I have a ton of ideas and every device I own is loaded with notepad files full of outlines and concepts, and I've started work on writing a few different game engines, but... I can't draw to save my life. I am incapable of making artwork, music, etc. Cannot do it. I've tried to learn, I've tried making sprites and playing around with GarageBand, but I just can't do justice to it. I can string a couple of notes together for a sound effect or add some shading to a healthbar, but a character, or a background track, it just... Doesn't work. Don't even think about animation. So what happens is I get an idea and I'm super motivated and I sit down and program some core game features... In which you play as a red square in a world of other squares. And I write it and polish it and play it to death and stare at this incredibly bland screen until I lose all of that motivation because I have nowhere to go with it. I just can't work with squares, I need enemies and powerups and they can't just be squares, I'm gonna lose my damn mind if I have to look at another red square. It is torture to have this vision of what you want to create and not be able to make it happen.

Now, I work with a friend of mine who is going to school to get a fancy art degree. Problem being, he's in school to get a fancy art degree, so he never has any free time to work on games. I've got projects that have been collecting dust for months and it sucks. And then over Summer we can actually get some work done, for a couple of months, and then he goes back to school. Kid needs to graduate already.
