I have a tie of...two polar opposites??
I finally made a Guts build in Ds3 and I gotta say, I felt like Gael before Gael was even a thing. In fact when I first fought Gael all I could think about was how cool the Gael vs Guts mirror match would be. Basically the build is greatsword main hand, avelyn side ( which can be switched to a caestus, infused to heal hp or mp) and sellsword armor + the rag mask thing. It has nearly 2000 hp ( forget my exact stats, 45 vigor maybe) with tiny beings ring, the ring of favor, Chloranthy ring, and a filler ring. The build is entirely reactionary in PvP and all I do is punish people for misplays. Oftentimes it only takes 3 hits.
Then the other one that I was really enjoying before my last hiatus was my 27?str/35dex/55 int build. One of the rings is determined by if I'm using buffed or non buffed weapons. If I'm buffing I'm using the hunters ring in case somebody tries to run away until the buff ends. If I'm not ( and there are enough good boss weapons to choose not to buff/they self buff) I use a ring to boost sorcery damage as I'm far more likely to be using spells. Beyond that though the reason I like the build is it feels like my most versatile build while always retaining its power. I don't think I ever quite got the pyro build right to have a lot of options+power and my quality build might have more weapons it can use but being able to mix in 1 of 4-6 spells into your attacks just makes the build feel SO versatile. I don't remember what buffed weapons I was using but Freides Great Scythes move set is a ton of fun ( also the reason I made the build) and pontiffs greatsword just does insane amounts of damage. Especially if you can catch them with a weapon art hit.
