A lot of them are hypocrites who are fine with abortions when it's them or their loved ones.

A lot of them just don't like the idea of women having "sex without consequences".

Most of them that I've talked to seem to think that unwanted pregnancies happen because the woman was promiscuous in some way (having one night stands, having sex with multiple guys).

Most of them seem to be sex-negative, saying things like "just don't have sex if you don't want kids".

And the few who genuinely believe that abortions are murder and actually have empathy for someone dealing with an unwanted pregnancy still need to keep their opinions out of the laws and let doctors deal with abortions as a medical procedure.
