What's your unpopular teaching / subbing opinion?

1.) I work in a district that doesn't let me see the reviews teachers give me as a sub and it's paranoia inducing. I wish they'd let me the reviews so I could know how I'm doing. More over, I don't think it's really fair that teachers can review us in the first place. I feel like it creates an us vs. them mentality with teachers? If they're really reviewing us then I wish we could legit see reviews about classes. That way I know what I'm getting into when I take a job. Lol.

2.) This... might rub people the wrong way? But I honestly think subbing for special education should be a separate more specialized credential. I haven't had very good experiences subbing special ed, and I was ill-prepared for this job to begin with, but special ed is often a whole other level of problems that I'm not equip to deal with. People often told me that subbing special ed was a lot less work because you have the aids in there, and maybe that was the case for severe special ed, but for mild to moderate... every time I've had to take those jobs the aid did NOTHING, and I was left having to deal with kids who weren't developmentally delayed but had behavioral issues due to maybe a mental illness or something and I'm just not trained or equip to deal with that, so it ends up being a loss for the kids that day most of the time. I'm sure there are subs here who love teaching special education kids, but... I'm not one of them because most (if not all) of my experiences have been overwhelming and bad.
