What's your worst Thanksgiving memory?

When I was 5, we spent thanksgiving at my aunt's (dad's sister) house. I remember running around a lot, and eventually tired myself out. So I fell asleep on the couch in one of the living rooms, while my family was in the other. I woke up to my aunt's husband (I won't call him uncle because he's a sick fuck) performing oral sex on me. At the time, I had no idea what was going on, and thought maybe it was a dream/nightmare. It took years for me to truly understand what happened, and to tell my parents. We are Mexican, and it is unfortunately common to not talk about things like sexual abuse, because they would rather keep the family in tact, and not ruffle any feathers. 12 years later they had thanksgiving again at their house, and I refused to go. My parents forced me. It was traumatizing, I felt as if I had to relive that entire experience. I'm 27 now, but Thanksgiving still gives me anxiety.
