I use a wheelchair. I have a car with a wheelchair ramp. This lines are there for a reason. Thanks to this driver, I'm missing work because I can't get into my car.

Most of the new Walmarts have "vertical" disabled parking because of this.

Unless you know how many of the vans with lifts work you wont know that you have to give the other car ~5' for them to get out.

It looks like they parked on the line, perhaps they simply didn't know and thought that the spot ended at the line.

Sorry for you inconvenience, but if I could offer some advice.

I have a good friend who has a daughter with cerebral palsy and this situation has happened to her more times then she will admit.

So, even though she has the HC tags she parks in the back and makes sure she has the room. Typically parking her old Astro Van with the lift facing towards a curb and taking up two spots. This way she can always get the chair out of the van and know that no car can fit in the space she leaves between the curb and her van.

If you have a chair, or you are able bodied and are providing for a person who is disabled, but they are not walking. Then you don't really need to use the parking spots for anything other then the space. If the space exists further out, and you have a chair or an able bodied person helping you, there is really no need to take up that space.
