When you come back from the hairdresser and it's nothing like you wanted

I actually have a story that is very relevant to this, so I might as well share it.

So today I had a leavers lunch with my college, and so yesterday I thought I'd be clever and get my hair cut (it was very long) and get my suit whilst I was there.

So I went into the hairdressers and told them what I wanted, and the dude began to cut my hair. Before I go on, I need to give a little bit of a backstory- This guy has cut my hair 3 times before this, and every time I remember thinking 'Oh it looks terrible...', but at the last second when he puts all of the product in it, it goes from looking bad to looking nice, very quickly. So again, I had the same thought and chose to ignore it thinking that he'd make it look nice at the end. However, literally 5 seconds after thinking it looked bad, he got the mirror to show me the back of it, even though I don't think anyone in the history of the Earth has cared, and then got me to stand up.

I decided to be polite and just think that I could make it look nice when I get home later, and so I left to go and buy my suit and go home. Whilst I was walking to the shop, I passed some reflective glass and pretty much had this EXACT reaction within reason because I was in public.

From here, a million thoughts went through my head about all of the different outcomes of me going in and asking for him to change it, and so for the next hour I pretty much circled the hairdresser thinking about what to say. It was one of the most embarrassing and awkward moments in my life when they had to call him back from his lunch break to re-cut my hair for free. I don't think he will cut my hair again.

Everything turned out okay though - Here's a pic of me at the lunch (left).
