When backtesting a strategy using tighter stop losses and profit targets, how do you determine whether the pt or sl was hit first?

Looks like I touched a nerve. I've always kind of admired your even-temperness in our past conversations in this sub; Guess not.

I already addressed the issue of BlackRock.

That's what the second hand comment is about? That's fucking hilarious.

And, as I said...do you run a $100mm book? I generally don't see people with the seniority of that kind of responsibility mouthing off the way you do, and generally not behind a completely anonymous handle, either.

Hahahaha - okay. It's the internet. I can be anyone I suppose. I have a theory that people in the industry can tell the difference between other people who are actually doing this stuff in real life vs those on the fringe.

And if you're going to take potshots, do you have any record of accomplishment that can be publicly vetted?

It's vetted where required by regulatory disclosure and for due diligence by those who have a right to do so; This is just me dicking around on a random sub on a slow friday afternoon.

I don't sell books. I don't look for "consulting opportunities". I may or may not be managing real money. Whatever it is I do, I feel zero need to build up my own crediential by spaming a fucking forum.

If you're smarter than the rest of us, care to prove it?

Not really. I don't have a need to prove it. I also don't have a need to plaster my name on a blog; I'm also probably not smarter than most people.

Ever heard of RCpp

Yeah. Who cares. I like R, to a degree. So what?

so you should probably watch your tone if you want to be taken seriously

Oh that's funny - if I wanted to be taken seriously by a bunch of retail amateurs and internet bloggers.... I suppose I would have to "watch my tone". Good thing my career has gotten a bit further than that point.

Well look, I don't watch my tone. I'm bombastic, so I'm not taken seriously. Fair enough. You, on the other hand, try very hard to sound sophisticated. And you watch your tone. But you are not taken seriously. So is the conclusion that tone has nothing to do whether someone is taken seriously?
