When a black woman nonviolently touches a white man it's assault, but when Donald Trump's campaign manager grabs a woman it's not a big deal?

Because of WW2, the area I grew up in almost completely consisted of black people and Romani people( to elaborate, it was mainly due to PoC fleeing the Nazis and moving into rural, generally empty areas), and despite this being Europe, white people were a relatively rare sight, as close to none lived in the area. But see, that sentence feels weird to type, because we never separated ourselves between black and romani. The division was always between 'us' and the white people('us' in this context being the black and romani people). I had black grandfathers, grandmothers, uncles, aunts, brothers, and sisters. Of course, they were not my family members biologically speaking, but in my culture, your closest friends are your family members, and you cherish your 'brother' just as you would your brother, so much so that I feel comfortable calling them my brothers, and meaning it just as much when I call my biological brothers brothers(and of course, many people were afro-romani).

I would not at all say I was raised in western culture. My parents were culturally conservative(please note, 'conservative' doesn't refer to political views, as we're all outspoken liberals, it just means that they deeply subscribed to the romani way of life, which is very much un-western). Pretty much as I was nearing adulthood we moved to Bern, and I've yet to revisit the area of my growing up. I would still not consider my self a member of western society(it's only been a few years since moving), as I still find my self a foreigner to it's standards and customs, and I face prejudice every single day of my life. Usually minor, such as a someone asking me if I'm off to steal something when I'm out walking, but sometimes a bit worse, like someone telling me they wish the encampments on the edge of turn would be met with fires.

Why have I told you all this? Only because I want to ask you a question. Why would someone who grew up surrounded by black people, so undivided I called them family and I loved them all as such, barely seeing any white people in that time, and not at all being a part of western society have the prejuidices of western society so deeply ingrained that I would look at video where a white person apparently so obviously grabbed a black person and blame it on the black person?

I'm truly sorry you can only the see the world with your western tinted glasses.
