When did the city become so rude?!

You have to speak up for yourself. "Sorry, can I get through here?" is more than enough in most cases. Don't take it personally.

Also don't take this next point personally but as a new parent you're probably a hot mess and have a much shorter fuse right now. It's hard to recognize what sleep deprivation does to you when your kid is that age. The next time you feel yourself getting stressed take a deep breath and try to look at the situation objectively. Being frustrated only ruins your day and your quality of life if the other person is too clueless to be considerate.

Personally I always used a baby carrier when I ran errands with my kid and it was much easier to get around the city that way. Strollers are a pain in the ass for everyone. It's good exercise as well.
