When did you guys start to get your shit together?

Mid-thirties, still have student debt (no CC debt thank fuck). I have a great career, retirement funds, and an amazing relationship.

You're on the right path. Save 12-15% of what you make (pre-tax), stay healthy/fit, learn new things at your leisure, and invest in hobbies that you enjoy. This is a marathon. Pace yourself.

Make time for your family (if you're fortunate to have a decent one). I've become closer to my parents in the last 10 years. Their aging has pushed me to take a more serious role in planning for their care and well-being.

For right now, maybe take some free/low cost classes online. Get some certifications that can polish your resume/CV. OSHA 10/30, Red Cross, and FEMA have online options.

TLDR: Keep yourself busy doing something you enjoy, and you'll be gold.
