When did people start liking Carly?

I think the Jillian remark was probably the worst thing she ever said, but she and Jillian clearly made up because they were hugging and tearing up when Jillian was eliminated on BIP and Jillian would always write friendly comments on her posts afterwards. I think Carly just has a tendency to go too far because she is trying to be funny and snarky, but she doesn't actually mean those things and doesn't realize how it comes across. She pretty much admitted she did that with Evan. Regardless of the reasons why she ended up with him (and money and fame is the reason for 99% of these Bach relationships, so who cares why?), it's bizarre to me that when the people involved (Jillian and Evan) have forgiven her and think fondly of her (presumably because they know her better than we do and have heard her apologies/explanations) that viewers can't get over it.

And, in regards to Kirk, what multiple sources? Kirk and Kirk's friends? I'm sure he said certain things to Carly, but he never full-out said "I have a girlfriend back home that I want to get back with", did he? Carly made herself out to be more of a victim than she was, but Kirk also wasn't super transparent and honest either. To me, it's the whole Brooks/Des or Frank/Ali situation all over again; the guy thinks he gave the girl clues all along, but the girl thinks he didn't and felt blindsided. And they're probably both right.
