when did people start saying shin should use strategy??

There is, even though it's not that major. It's been mentioned a few times, even if the complaints "But he's a former slave" are usually ignored by some of the higher ups

Qin was a state that allowed low born people to rise through military ranks. But don't underestimate just how much influence being the first son in a prominent family of generals is. They are also VERY talented and older. They're on a completely different path than Shin.

Shin cannot afford to have these lapses in judgement, impulsively losing focus and somehow making up for this ineptitude by willing his way to the head of a general. It gets repetitive. He needs more sociopath, more ruthlessness, more cunning, more intelligence, more self awareness, more restraint. This is what it actually took to unify China. Without tremendous luck that's the only realistic way to get what he wants. He should be dead 100 times over and it's mostly his own fault.

You can justify it by saying "everyone is doing it we'll just do it better." Not by giving him 21st century values which are fundamentally incompatible with war.

Lastly, I hate to break it to you but when it's all said and done the other two will have more accomplishments. Insult to injury to the real Li Xin who actually came from a background similar to OuHon and MouTen.
