When did phasing become this bad?

As a computer scientist, Its clear as day to me that the coding that they have done in Fortnite is anything BUT robust - you make one change and 10 things break. This is NOT how programming is supposed to happen, everything is WAYYY too tightly coupled, which may seem efficient, but it’s one of the BIG plagues of programming that you are taught how to avoid in day 1. I don’t know who they’ve hired to do the coding, but it is absolutely abysmal.

Glitches and bugs like this, and potentially far worse ones (ie, randomly dying at fatal fields) are going to keep popping up EVERY update because of this, unless they take a step back and actually program this properly and robustly like how it was meant to be done in day 1.
