For me it was hitting $2.5M liquid net worth. This had been my goal for a long time I knew it meant I could generate $100K/year of income for life. I began to feel as if I had FU money, and things stressed me out less. This was goal for quite a long time and hitting it felt amazing. I’m 40 and continue to work, but it’s amazing to do so knowing I’m ok if I lose my job.

I will also add that there is a difference between true wealth and financial wealth. I feel most wealthy due to the love I have in my life from God, family, friends, and from my girlfriend, and from my health. I feel poor in certain ways bc I have no kids and am divorced. I’d trade all of my money for a happy marriage with kids. I know it’s in my future. Just wanted to mention this bc sometimes people focus too much on one dimension of wealth (financial) and don’t realize the other ones are as much if not more important.
