When does the joke get serious? I always hear fun coin and I do not think that's good at all. maybe it would be good to change the name to investcoin or futurecoin the meme dog can stay ... for fun would be serious, and serious is now five years old.

That's the joke - don't you see? We refuse to cave into 'seriousness' yet still manage a ~$2B market cap (in the past, obviously). I understand what you're saying, mainstream viability usually dictates a note of seriousness, but that would fly in the face of everything this coin and community stand for. Sure, we could call ourselves some new, fancy, laser-engraved name and attract more people - but if that ever happened we would be just another coin and fall into the oblivion of conformity. This coin is about the $, don't let anyone fool you because I see people spending real money on it daily - but that is not our #1 goal. It's about utility and the quest to find the most convenient and universal use for our coin. We do this not to increase market cap, but to increase circulation and versatility. If Doge was 1 year old, I would be so on board with what you're saying, but the fact that it has lasted so long and increased in value so much despite being a 'joke' just makes it all that much more amazing. If the name/branding changed I would sell my 100's of thousands of Doge instantly and never look back.
