when everyone thought r/freefolk will be LOTR subreddit

I do find it jarring sometimes when its some European medieval setting and there's a mix of black and white people. It feels dishonest on the part of the show's creators. Like the druids, if they were an insular community that had been around for a few centuries then they would have averaged out in skin tone.

And there was little to no suggestion as to why the diversity. Maybe some kind of hint to a nearby country would have helped sell it, like idk "the moores invaded a few decades back and we were occupied for a couple of years before they were ovethrown, that is why there is a random mix of people."

Some of it was well done and not weird, but other times it felt like you could see the thoughts over money and over-cautious inclusiveness of the casting director writ large lol.

There were moments where I was wondering if the humans and elves in this world were like cats. Their offspring all have different coloured skin like kittens have different coloured coats in litters.
