Hey, a practicing Buddhist here and a Kanye fan since The Dropout. Buddhism teaches you to focus on silver linings and agreeing with people you didn’t agree with. I personally have tried to understand Ye at every turn and it’s only become more difficult with his endorsement of these people. I try to forgive people because everyone’s growing but Chris Brown has never seemed to be remotely apologetic about the Rihanna incident. Dude had a publicist write some piece and the next year he was throwing chairs on Good Morning America and making songs vaguely bragging about his fucked up attitudes towards women. Still on Waves, I mostly don’t listen whatever. Around the same album cycle Ye randomly tweeted Cosby was innocent. My issue isn’tYe stating an unpopular opinion, hell even if he wanted to start a discussion on Twitter that would’ve been constructive but in a few days he was beefing with Wiz and slut shaming Amber Rose. Now there’s the defense of Bari and putting on XXX and 69. Even avoiding judgement on these last 2, because only those involved really know;I think my biggest issue is how convincing an argument someone could make that post-Yeezus he’s rally just started Tweeting/saying things just to stir people’s opinions of him.
