When you get headhunted, rushed to interview, and they get pissed at your answer to "Why us?"

Well, we look at this from the point of the interviewer, they often don't know about your interaction with the recruiter, or that you went into the interview feeling rushed. Usually interviewers are just scheduled with no prior conversations with the recruiter about you and have a list of questions they go through, so coming in with baggage from prior conversations doesn't serve you, because they have no context.

To add clarity to the "why do you want to work here?" question, it's more like...if the answer is always, "I like getting paid", then why get paid here? Why not get paid elsewhere?

Also, something to be cautious about, being too intense in interviews isn't good, a lot of the companies use recruiting software today, and have processes to blacklist someone so they can't interview successful there again. You should always leave an interview with the impression of: ah well, that didn't work out, but that person was awesome and we'd like to work with them if they acquired (insert experience here).
