I could guarantee the opposite. Being Italian, if you guys called Americanized versions of Italian food “Italian” I would spit in your face. I would also laugh because it would taste like shit. Lots of other cultures feel the same way. My Asian friend were talking about this the other day and he said they laugh when Americans try to make Asian food. It’s a joke. All you are doing is stealing something from an international country and claiming it as your own oh cuz what you added a lil something else, or overcooked the pasta like you guys always do, or didn’t add this. Oh shut up, white and privileged clearly. Go ask a Jamaican person if Cajun chicken or Jamaican Patties are “American” cuz a white person made them and changed something about the original recipe.
