Well. At least he's self aware about it. It's definitely a mental illness and as much as it's heinous and terrible mental illness is not a choice. Germany apparently is one of the few countries that treat it as such as allows people to privately seek help and its suppose to be very very successful.

One reason pedo's don't often get help is the act of getting help gets you put on a list and then your going door to door. I see the purpose of this... But does it actually help any? Or just keep sick people from seeking help until they do something heinous.

Have had long discussion about this with my uncle from the UK who was on a task force for finding this stuff. They only allow you to do 6 months at a time on it because it's so fucked up. Shit is all around fucked up. Society has a pretty emotional response to it through there policies that often just lead to more children harmed.
