When male strangers ask to pay for your food/drinks, do you let them? Why or why not?

Hell yeah! I just say thank you and tip well and go on with my life. In my experience it was rich older men who literally didn’t even want to talk to me. But no to a drink, no no no. Guys think that’s a thing. I can cover my gin and tonic, without you creeping, thanks but no thanks. An old man did randomly give me $100 one time bc my sister and I had talked to him for a while. Definitely weird, but he only did it when we were leaving, idk. He said it was so we could have a fun night. He was never even lewd, just a retired professor. Maybe he was a creep though. Maybe it was “wrong” to take it but I can think of worse things.
