When men say "Having a daughter made me see women differently." I get really unsettled.

You have to go back a bit and look at tribalism and the barbaric nature of people. All of these issues stem from a world where "to the victor goes the spoils" and the survivalist nature. My basis is in the evolution of people. To remove these innate behaviors takes time. We are in a cultural revolution for women over the last 100 years and much has changed but it's been only politicaI. I think these mechanisms/traits are ingrained genetically and as such will only change once cultural influences are able to selectively disrupt the selection process for men and women to procreate. Ya I know it sounds out there. Nature and nurture combined.
