Your responses seem like excuses and the industry has been shown to be entirely controlled by powerful people who use their power to silence the abused and stop others from coming forward. Explain to me why convicted child molesters should be allowed to work around any vulnerable people without a licensed, mandatory reporter in the room at all times?

I'm referencing Victor Salva who was convicted in 1988 for the sexual molestation of a 12-year-old boy who was starring in one of his films. He videotaped himself in the act of forcing the boy to perform oral sex, so was also convicted for possessing commercial videotapes and magazines containing child pornography. After he was released, he only served 15 months of a 3 year sentence, he went on to make movies for Disney and work with children!

Another example is Bryan Peck. The convicted pedophile X-Men actor abused a Nickelodeon child star but is still allowed to work with underage kids.

The industry is well deserving of regulation in their hiring practices.
