When you have to resort to ad hominem to back up your argument, you already know you lost.

Not law, policy change. Closing ports of entry, denying asylum claims if they do not enter a port of entry, breaking international and national refugee law. They decided that gang related fear wasn’t a valid claim.

I’m sure you’re aware of the many refugees and asylum seekers during WW2 and you probably know of the name MS St Louis, where 900 Jewish refugees were turned away by the US and Canada in 1939 (‘38?) and sent back to Europe. Thankfully, our country decided to think of immigrants and refugees differently/separately afterwards, and I’m sure those 300 some passengers who died would be appreciative.

Yes, these people aren’t fleeing Nazi Germany, but their fear and concerns should make them protected under the Refugee Act and the international Human Rights Declaration, if the rules weren’t recently changed against their favor.
