When the restaurant says they have vegan options

They prolly wouldnt be horrified as such (more likely "who's this fella saying he's a vegetarian and then hooking into chicken curry?"). Just ditch saying you are a vegetarian and you will be sweet as. Just do and eat what you want. No labels. No one cares that much mate. Just better, i find, not to try to say you are something you aren't.
This applies to many aspects in life, i have found from my own experiences. Just be honest to yourself and don't pretend to be something you are not. In my own life experience, for example, i used to say I could play the bass guitar. I can. But my short comings were soon exposed by "proper musicians" who expected me to pick up a riff within a couple of minutes. I soon realised i wasn't like them. Anyway. All the best for the future. I've enjoyed the thread and your input has contributed greatly. (hopefully my input has too). Choice mate. Have a good one.
