When someone asks you what occupational therapy is, how do you explain it?

It may be the same team, but it's not the same professions. As a profession, PT is NEVER OTs friend. Your profession does NOT look after OT's best interests, nor should it.

I can be your friend, but I do not like your profession's desire to take over the rehab world. That desire is not good for OT. But, good for you profession because while OTs 2015 vision was "let's be recognized", PT's vision was becoming the PREMIER profession.

I respect PT, but I want to hold them in their little corner of the world, while expanding OTs little corner.

More OTs need to think like this and stop believing that the PT profession is our friend.

I know it's difficult, but please try separating the person from the profession.
