I sound like a broken record lol. But I thought this game was a test to introduce Marvel into the gaming space. There are rumors of an Avengers game in the works and considering all the hype and love Spiderman is getting I expect this Avengers game to take itself seriously (secure more funding and developers). I do see Marvel throwing there hate in the ring. If Sony can somehow sneak there way into these Marvel titles then I don't think we will see SM2 for a while. But if Marvel decides to handle this independently then Spiderman is Sony's only horse in this race so expect a sequel soon. Idk there is a lot of Marvel Easter eggs related to the MCU so maybe these new Marvel games will tap into the same universe.
