Thank you for such a thorough and thoughtful response. I think one of the things was our lack of establishing what we were to begin with, and the fast feelings he felt vs my very slow and genuine feelings. I always get nervous when someone is all gas no brakes on me. Heavy drinking problem that he says impacted him a lot back then, and seems like he’s worked on it. I think it’s gonna continue being a slow burn for him to sus out my intentions this time around. He mentioned he was surprised because I was “hot and could pull anyone” coming back to him, and despite his issues, he’s the only person I’ve been thinking about for the majority of the year. I do have to look into a lot more myself.
