This is the game my narc uncle plays. There was a short time that I was paying him gas money for a ride to work. He finally had a captive audience. He would say outrageous things and then wait for my reaction. When I didn’t react, he did things like drive stupid fast and ask if his driving scared me. I shrugged and said no, and changed the subject. He let the vehicle drift into oncoming traffic, forcing a van off the road. He looked at me with a maniacal expression and said “I bet you hate me now, don’t ya?” He went to that length to force a reaction out of me, then when I told what happened, that was his excuse to start a harassment and intimidation campaign against me.
