They're being purposefully optimistic, but experts all seem to think that such a short timeline is absolutely reckless. Theyre trying to keep people somewhat calm. If they flat out said to keep this up through the fall, when s huge resurgence is apparently expected, people will lose their goddamn minds. A lot of us are barely hanging on as is. I'm far from an alarmist, just trying to prepare myself mentally. After hearing stories of the way my father and family had to live to survive ww2 while living in London, makes me realize we can be a lot more resilliant than we think, when the time calls for it. Sorry for the rant, I'm an emotional mess right now.
