I messaged the mods about this a ~month ago and did not receive a reply. The reality is that Rachel and Warden are the only mods who visit the subreddit at all anymore. I don't think a mod has been added or removed since 2013 (maybe 2014 with CzarCruise).

All of the mods were a pretty tight-knit group of friends in the Facebook group, and they definitely spent a lot more time and effort on the Facebook group then here. They posted tons of content and started interesting discussions over there, but very little of it made its way back to here. That which did I don't even think was posted by them. You'll see the two of them popping in every once in a while to answer some questions or drop comments. But they are not driving content or discussion here. They are not maintaining and improving the sidebar. The information is very out of date, it is inconsistent, and the FAQ definitely needs to address the questions that are actually frequently asked here.

This subreddit has the potential to be such a better and more informative place, with more diverse and interesting content than it gets now. But every year, for almost the whole year, all of the information is outdated and is not expanded upon. I have directed so many people away to the "Reddit" Facebook group for what this sub should have provided.

I really think the moderator list needs to get cleaned up and a couple new mods should be added and given the goal to help drive the subreddit. I am obviously too much of a jaded asshole for the job, I haven't been paying too close attention to individuals about /u/DPDragon stands out as someone who is active and here helping out a lot.

tl;dr: the mods don't care and are not likely to fix it or get someone else to fix it.
