Actually if you look at the top teams in the league, very few of them got there by tanking. The only team that tanked and is in some contention is the 76ers, but they only got better once they stopped tanking and signed decent free agents.

Even still, I'd take many teams over them, like almost all of the contenders in the West who didn't tank to get them. The Nuggets and Jazz both built there team without tanking, so did Milwaukee, Boston and Toronto.

Even the Warriors didn't tank to get their dynasty, they just drafted really good.

What we need to do is draft real talent where we are at. Like Cole Anthony and Okeke, players who are talented, but fell because GMs are in love with players like Bamba. It feels like our leadership has learned from that mistake, hopefully they will continue to do that in the future.
